Name: Fifi Da Queen Phiona Nabitengero
Family: Born to Justin Nazziwa and Steven Nsereko of Wobulenzi. Mum died when she was in P.4 and her father passed when she was in P.5.
She was raised by her stepmother until she got a job with an NGO when she was in senior four and stepped out to rent her own house.
Career and education: The NGO was called Youth Link, and it was founded by white born-again Christians who had come to Uganda to support youths living with HIV/AIDS.
Her work involved media appearances, especially on Christian radio stations and that’s how her media career began.
She then joined Bukedde Radio and was convinced to write for the newspaper as well.
When Bukedde TV was launched, she scored a job.
She left the station in 2020 and gave a number of reasons for quitting, including getting tired of the job, underpayment, she felt unappreciated by her boss, getting side gigs that were paying better, and so on.
Fifi Da Queen is currently acting, works with some foreign organisations and operates a YouTube channel.
